Facelift Surgery (Blepharoplasty)

Patient Information: 50 year old female underwent four lid blepharoplasty (eye lift) using a subcilicary (under the eyelash) incision on the lower eyelid. A lateral canthopexy (tightening of the outer lower eyelid) was performed. Close up views of the eyes demonstrate lower eyelid scars that are almost imperceptible. The upper eyelid incision is hidden in the eyelid crease.

Patient Information: 59 year old female underwent lower eyelid only blepharoplasty (eye lift) using a subcilicary (under the eyelash) incision on the lower eyelid. A lateral canthopexy (tightening of the outer lower eyelid) was performed. The patient did not want to have the upper eyelids operated.

Patient Information: 48 year old female underwent four lid blepharoplasty (eye lift) using a subcilicary (under the eyelash) incision
on the lower eyelid. A lateral canthopexy (tightening of the outer lower eyelid) was performed. Note the hollows
under the pockets of fat in the lower eyelids. After the fat pockets were removed, the fat was placed into these
hollows to smooth the overall contour of the lower eyelids and avoid a sunken, sallow appearance.

A lateral canthopexy (tightening of the outer lower eyelid) was performed. Note the hollows under the pockets of fat in the lower eyelids. After the fat pockets were removed, the fat was placed into these hollows to smooth the overall contour of the lower eyelids and avoid a sunken, sallow appearance.

The upper eyelid incision is hidden in the eyelid crease. Note the opening up of the "eyeshadow area" above the upper eyelid which was not visible before surgery.
