Before & After Results Now in Video

Deciding to go ahead and schedule that aesthetic procedure that you have been dreaming about is really just the first step on your journey. The next is choosing the right plastic surgeon. This is critical. You want a surgeon with skill and expertise in your specific procedure because this the best way to ensure the safe outcome that you desire. The internet is a fabulous tool for finding qualified surgeons in your area. I encourage patients to investigate my website and have put considerable thought, time and energy into creating one that will give you the most precise information possible for assessing my skills. This is why I am so excited to introduce you to my new way of displaying before and after surgical results – video.

Before & After Results in Video

If you have been following this blog then you know that, in my opinion, before and after photos are a crucial tool in any patient’s decision-making process. But I wrote a whole blog post on the ways in which someone can manipulate the photos. Furthermore, most patients find it challenging to notice all of the subtle improvements in an after photo because it is just a 2D image. This is why I wanted to find a better way of presenting my results.

Our before and after videos are synchronized and aligned so that you can literally see a side by side comparison of every nuanced change in the patient’s physique. If you look at one of my patients who had liposuction with a tummy tuck (click here), you can see exactly what her results looked like at 3 months post-surgery. This is important because healing is a process and I think it is incredibly helpful for patients to see what a scar is going to realistically look like every step of the way.

Managing Expectations Critical for Happy Outcome

I have been in practice for over 25 years and one thing I know for certain is that setting up realistic expectations is one of the best ways to ensure a happy outcome for my patients. This is why I am always extremely honest during your initial consultation about:

  • Best procedure or procedures for delivering your goal
  • Is your desired outcome possible given your anatomy?
  • Amount of downtime required for your specific treatment plan

My extensive gallery of before and after photos and now video allows me to walk a potential patient through a specific procedure and show the result in 360°. This is fantastic because no procedure works in isolation. If you have a breast augmentation, it doesn’t just improve the volume in your breasts. It restores balance and harmony to your entire torso which can make your waist and abdomen look smaller and your buttocks appear more lifted.

Difference between 2D and 3D

Patients are often confused about the difference between 2D and 3D. The former is an image in just the horizontal and vertical dimensions. If you turn a 2D image on its side, you get a flat line. However, a 3D image adds depth. This allows you to see it from multiple different perspectives. It is basically the difference between a photo and a sculpture. This is really apparent in my labiaplasty before and after video results. Since this procedure is in such a delicate area, it has been extremely helpful for my patients to visualize exactly what can be achieved with surgery.
