Dr. Spaliaras brings exceptional clinical expertise, academic leadership, and an unwavering commitment to patient safety across a wide range of anesthetic care.
Dr. Spaliaras earned her Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology and Global Health from Georgetown University, graduating cum laude, and went on to receive her Doctor of Medicine from New York Medical College. She completed her postgraduate training in internal medicine, anesthesiology—serving as Chief Resident—and pediatric anesthesiology as Chief Fellow at the renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
Throughout her career, Dr. Spaliaras has held attending physician roles at leading institutions including Montefiore Medical Center, NewYork-Presbyterian Queens, Northwell Health/Long Island Jewish Hospital, NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island, and Cohen Children’s Medical Center. She is currently affiliated with North American Partners in Anesthesia and continues to provide expert care in both adult and pediatric settings.
In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Spaliaras has served as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she has been deeply involved in resident and fellow education. She is recognized for her contributions to teaching, quality improvement, and patient safety, and has served on multiple hospital and departmental committees focused on education, recruitment, and clinical excellence.
A published author and sought-after lecturer, Dr. Spaliaras has contributed to major anesthesiology textbooks and peer-reviewed journals and has delivered invited lectures nationally on pediatric anesthesia, airway management, quality improvement, and complex anesthetic care.
