Patient Information: 58 year old female after 40 pound weight loss. Due to severe skin excess, she underwent an extended abdominoplasty (abdominoplasty and excisional recontouring of hips, thighs and flanks). Scars are suboptimal as a consequence of many years of cortisone therapy which impacts wound healing and scar formation. A drain was used in this case as it was performed a few years before switching to the drainless technique.
