Patient information: 36 year old female underwent Bilateral breast augmentation SCM 360cc with Wise pattern mastopexy and GalaForm. Due to the horizontal excess of skin, a periareolar mastopexy would not correct both the vertical and horizontal skin excess. A Wise mastopexy was planned. The pattern allows removal of skin in both vertical and horizontal dimensions allowing for lifting and coning of the breast into a less ptotic (sagging) shape. GalaForm mesh was placed inside the breast to act as an “internal bra”. The GalaForm mesh will be absorbed in 2 – 3 years and be replaced by a new latery of natural tissue about 3 mm thick which should continue to support the breast.
Postop is taken at one year.
