Breast reduction – Female (“Lollipop technique”)

Case Details

Patient Information: 48 year old female who underwent bilateral breast reduction using a vertical short scar (Lollipop) technique with a superiomedical pedicle. A total of 565 gms of tissue was removed from the right side, 525 gms on the left side. A greater amount of tissue could have been removed, but that would have necessitated using a different technique, which would have left her with a long scar along the underside of her breast from the side of her chest to almost the breast bone. As she wanted a modest reduction, this technique was perfect for her. Cup size reduced from HH to DDD.
