Motiva® Implant Warranty

What Does the Motiva® Implant Warranty Cover?

Patients receiving Motiva Implants® may qualify for the complimentary Motiva® Health Program. This program provides implant replacement and, in certain situations, financial assistance when a covered complication occurs.

Coverage varies depending on the complication, how much time has passed since surgery, the patient’s implant history, and whether the patient enrolls in the standard Health Program or the optional Health Program Plus. The warranty does not mean that every expense associated with revision surgery will be covered.

The standard program includes lifetime implant replacement for rupture and qualifying BIA-ALCL cases. It also provides time-limited coverage for Baker Grade III or IV capsular contracture, late-forming seroma, and double capsule.

For $250, patients may enroll in the Motiva® Health Program Plus within 90 days of surgery. This option increases certain financial-assistance benefits, extends selected implant-replacement coverage, and includes a credit of up to $2,500 toward implant removal during the first two years if the patient decides she no longer wants her implants.

After surgery, our office registers the implants with Motiva. The patient must then visit MotivaUSA.com/MotivaImagine to verify her information and select the desired warranty option.

What Should I Know About Motiva Warranty Coverage?

The warranty is administered by Motiva, not by Dr. Epstein or Epstein Plastic Surgery. Eligibility and payment are determined by Motiva under its current program terms. Implant replacement does not necessarily mean that all costs associated with evaluation, surgery, anesthesia, facility services, or postoperative care will be covered.

Patients are encouraged to complete their warranty registration within 90 days of surgery. Registration and payment within that period are required for the Motiva® Health Program Plus.

Breast implants are not lifetime devices. They may rupture or develop other complications and may require additional surgery. Warranty coverage does not replace recommended follow-up care or a discussion with Dr. Epstein about the risks and benefits of breast implant surgery.
